It's as though the vivacious Anne Shirley flounced right off the pages of Lucy Maud Montgomery's classic, ''Anne of Green Gables,'' and into the vintage ambiance of a boutique in Northern Kentucky.

Anne, the fictional girl from Prince Edward Island in Canada, lives on - through books, music, videos and turn-of-the century fashions at the Burlington shop known as Billie's and Billie's Too.

The shop, formerly Billie's Consigning Women, is owned by the mother-daughter team of Billie Burkart and Jean Tringale.
