First 'Green Gables' edition on block

CONCORD, N.H., Nov 27, 2003 (United Press International via COMTEX) -- Book collectors are watching debate over the eBay auction offering of a rare first edition of "Anne of Green Gables," the Canadian Broadcasting Corp., says.

There has been little controversy over the authenticity of the 1908 book by Canadian author Lucy Maud Montgomery, but rather over its dust jacket, the report said.
