The government of Ethiopia issued the following news release:

The 110th anniversary of the Ethio-Russian diplomatic relations and the 209th birthday of Alexander Pushkin, the renowned Russian poet, celebrated on 20 June 2008 on the premises of the Ethiopian Embassy in Moscow.

The event was jointly organized by the Ethiopian Millennium Celebration Committee and the Ethiopian Friendship Association in Russia.

Speaking at the occasion, Ethiopian Ambassador to Russia, Dr. Teketel Forsido said the cooperation between the two countries dates back to the 15th century. He said the Ethio-Russia ...
