The tsarist family, a descendant of Alexander Pushkin and a modern-day
businessman once called a crook are the tantalizing ingredients in a story
unfolding in Moscow.
The tale revolves around a golden tiara decorated with diamonds and
rubies that was brought to Moscow this week for possible sale by its British
owner. Experts are still working to determine whether the tiara is the
one made on orders of a Russian grand duke. But few doubt that it is.
