An elaborate tiara of gold, diamonds and rubies that was a wedding gift from a czarist-era Russian duke to his bride, a granddaughter of Alexander Pushkin, was brought to Russia on Monday from Britain for evaluation and possible purchase from its British owner.
The tiara was made on order of Grand Duke Mikhail, a grandson of Czar Nicholas I, for Sofia von Merenberg; they married in 1891.
