MOSCOW - Like a tour guide to his own life, Natan Sharansky yesterday pointed to the statue of Alexander Pushkin behind him and the small square around it.

"A very interesting place in the heart of Moscow," he told a handful of reporters accompanying him. "Here began the demonstrations of the human rights dissidents, and here we Jewish demonstrators joined them."
