Author Steve Watson's book 'Prepare for the Saints: Gertrude Stein, Virgil Thomson, and the Mainstreaming of American Modernism' presents the backstage story of the 1934 Virgil Thomson/Gertrude Stein opera entitled 'Four Saints in Three Acts.'
