Aradigm Announces the Appointment of Virgil D. Thompson as Chairman.

Aradigm Corporation announced today that Virgil D. Thompson has been unanimously elected to be Chairman of its Board of Directors. Mr. Thompson has been a director on Aradigm's board since 1994 and currently is Chairman of its Compensation Committee. Richard Thompson, Aradigm's current Chairman, will remain as a Director on the company's board.
