The 30 stitches over Virgil Hill's left eyelid have been removed. The bruises from his fifth world boxing title last month have healed thanks to some sunshine and rest in Mexico.

At 42, Hill is going back to a gym in New Jersey to train for another bout _ or two.

"In another week, I'll start slowly chipping away and come back to form," the North Dakota fighter said by phone.
