APPROPRIATE, I suppose, that the first full week of the Brown regime,which does not sound as if it is going to be a laugh a minute, should coincidewith the start of the No Smoking Terror.

Today, former 40-a-day punters will be huddled glumly over their 'units' ofdraught lager in smokefree pubs, wondering whether anyone will nick their beershould they nip out to the rain-drenched pavement for a quick drag.
