The Syracuse James Joyce Club this week announced winners in its annual James Joyce Essay and Short Story contests:
Kathleen O'Neil, of Liverpool, a student at Montreal's McGill University, won first place ($200) in the college essay category. State University College of Environmental Science and Forestry student Sharon Crapo, of Scotia, split the first-place prize ($200) in the college short story category with Hannah Kozik, of Nedrow, who attends Marlboro College.
