Searching for Emma: Gustave Flaubert and Madame Bovary, by Dacia Maraini.
A not altogether interesting or enlightening take on Flaubert's masterpiece, Maraini's book does manage from time to time to unearth a gossipy gem or two concerning Flaubert's intensely frustrating relationship with Louise Colet, the real-life Emma.
