Jerusalem documentary blends family biography with history
In 1850, the French writer Gustave Flaubert [described a desolate Jerusalem
as a place where] "God's curse seems to float above the city."
"No country has been destroyed over and over again in wars more than this
one and no country has seen more rulers come and go," wrote another visitor
about the long-contested capital.
Both impressions are taken from "Fragments*Jerusalem," created and narrated
by Israeli documentary filmmaker Ron Havilio.
