Helena Bonham Carter jokes that her career is over, now that there are no more E. M. Forster novels to be made into films.

"There is no more Forster," she says over the phone from her home in London. " `Howards End' is the very last one.

"It's been a nice career," she says, laughing, "a lovely career."

Actually, it has been an extraordinary career for Bonham Carter, one highlighted by the actress's memorable appearances in four Forster film adaptations.
