Edwardian novelist Edward Morgan Forster has become the Stephen King of the art-house circuit.

That he has attained such status is indisputable. In eight years, five of E.M. Forster's six novels have been translated to the screen, including "A Passage to India" (1984), "A Room With a View" (1985), "Maurice" (1987), "Where Angels Fear To Tread" (1992) and the current release, "Howards End."
