BARACK Obama has overtaken Hillary Clinton in polls in the key state ofCalifornia on the eve of tomorrow's coast-to-coast showdown for the White Housenomination.

The former first lady's support also appeared to be dwindling in other statesshe had counted on winning in tomorrow's Super Tuesday primaries.
