Jul. 28--At the back of the Destin Library, locked inside wood-walled, glassfronted cabinets, sit pieces of history -- books dating back to and beyond the dawn of the 20th century.
The Zerbe Collection -- named for Destin Library founders Fred and Donalda Zerbe -- holds stories of boy inventor Tom Swift from a time when a book titled "Tom Swift and the Electric Locomotive" meant a story of ground-breaking technology.
