The Hackney-based composer Jonathan Dove and his long-time librettist Alasdair Middleton have adapted Carlo Collodi's classic fairy tale into a surreal piece of music theatre. Victoria Simmonds stars as the mischievous wooden puppet hero, with Jonathan Summers as his long-suffering father and Rebecca Bottone as Cricket in Martin Duncan's production.
