The curtain has raised on this year's Peterhead pantomime.

A cast of 70 brought the classic tale of Pinocchio to life at the town's Community Centre theatre on Saturday.

It is the start of a week long run in the Blue Toon and a small number of tickets are still available.

It is the first time writer Ron Hall's version of the children's favourite has been attempted by the Buchan group and it went down a storm with sellout audiences at both this weekend's matinee and evening shows.
