Thursday, May 26, 2005 -- Along with all the local and international music, dance and theater acts set to grace the Israel Festival this year will be a beloved character whose enduring image has charmed children the world over for more than 100 years.

Pinocchio, the famous wooden boy from Carlo Collodi's classic story, will open the annual festival to children, and offer an Israeli twist.
