Personal letters, papers, notebooks and inscribed first editions relating to Samuel Taylor Coleridge, said to be the most significant collection remaining in the hands of direct descendants of the Devon- born Romantic poet, are set to fetch up to pounds100,000 at auction next week.
The archive, including a lock of Coleridge's hair and revealing letters to his brother George, is being offered at a Sotheby's literature sale in London on December 13.
