Cordell Taylor cannot wait to begin his NFL career, and he won't have to.

Taylor on Thursday signed a contract with the Jacksonville Jaguars, averting the possibility of a holdout when he is to report to Jacksonville June 1 for a month-long rookie orientation and conditioning program. The Booker T. Washington graduate and Hampton University cornerback agreed to a four-year deal worth $1.88 million, according to his agent Keith Booker.
