Booker T. Washington's Visit to Inland Empire Remembered

More than 500 third-graders from San Bernardino and Riverside county
schools will visit Tuskegee Village at riverside Public Library Friday,
Nov. 16, as part of a three-day symposium on "Booker T. Washington:
Exploring the Legacy of Booker T." Students will learn about the culture
and history of American life circa 1880, the impact of Washington's work at
Tuskegee Institute in Alabama and about the agricultural and scientific
advancements of George Washington Carver.
