Sep. 17--The goal sounded overwhelming when it was announced five years ago: raise millions to build a new campus for Dallas' acclaimed arts magnet high school.

Today, the volunteers behind the effort will announce two gifts totaling $4 million -- bringing the campaign to within $2 million of its $55 million goal.

"The momentum is on," said I.D. "Nash" Flores III, chairman of the Arts Magnet Building Campaign. "It was a big vision, and we blazed a lot of trails to get here."
