Jan. 17--NORFOLK -- Larry Stepney's storied tenure in high school football has ended. It was a time that spanned nearly four decades, stretching from his days as a star running back at Norview to a 15-year run as Booker T. Washington's coach. Stepney on Tuesday resigned as the Bookers coach after compiling an 82-72 record and winning three Eastern District championships.
