NORFOLK - Booker T. Washington quarterback James Vann wants to be on the field plenty tonight against visiting Maury.

''Maury's defense feeds off its offense, so we need to control the ball and keep Maury's offense on the sideline,'' Vann said of the Eastern District match-up pitting two extremely productive offenses.

Maury (5-1, 3-1), ranked sixth in South Hampton Roads, is averaging 377 yards and 36 points per game. The Bookers (3-3, 3-0) are at 339 yards and 28 points per game.
