Tuskegee Institute National Historic Site issued the following press release:
The Oaks, home of Booker T. Washington, at Tuskegee Institute National Historic Site, will be closed to tours beginning on October 1st. This closure is expected to last from 9 months to one year. A Town Hall meeting to discuss the renovations will be held at the Tuskegee Municipal Complex on Thursday, September 27th from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
