The city of Norfolk issued the following press release:
On Thursday, Sept. 14th, from 10:30-11:30 a.m., The Honorable Tim Kaine, Governor of Virginia, will visit students and staff at Booker T. Washington High School
(1111 Park Ave.) to see how the school is decreasing ninth-grade retention and increasing English, math and technology proficiency through its freshman transition program.
