California State University San Bernardino (CSUSB) moved into center stage
with a Booker T. Washington symposium; the event brought two of the great
educator's granddaughters to the Inland Empire: Mrs. Edith Washington
Johnson and Mrs. Gloria Washington-Baskins. Event creators were Dr. Laura
Young, College of Education, who served as facilitator, and Cheryl Brown,
co-owner of the Black Voice News. The two ladies work together in taking
educators on the Underground Railroad Tours.
