When you ask Shakeesha Jinks, a senior at Booker T. Washington High School,
what she wants to be when she grows up, she answers resoundingly - "A
neonatal nurse." Jinks speaks confidently of her future and is determined
that she will one day be a caregiver to a hospital's smallest patients.

Jinks's resolve is due in part to her experience in a shadowing program at
Emory Crawford Long Hospital. The program, which is funded by the Robert
Wood Johnson Foundation, enables a group of eight elite students from
