NORFOLK -- There's no truth to the rumor that Booker T. Washington had already ordered T-shirts celebrating an Eastern District wrestling tournament title before the event even began.
''We were confident, but not that confident,'' a laughing Bookers assistant Jon Vann said.
The Bookers certainly didn't perform as though they were taking things for granted. Fueled by a dominating semifinal round, the Bookers cruised to a successful defense of their title Saturday at Lake Taylor.
