Road shows have been a part of theatrical history since producers took Aristophanes' plays out of Athens to the provinces. Artspace, a nonprofit organization based in Minneapolis, and the Minneapolis Community Development Agency put a new spin on this concept by funding the transportation earlier this year of the city's 89- year-old Shubert Theater to a new site one-quarter of a mile away.
