Alfred University issued the following news release:

"Lysistrata" by Aristophanes will be performed at Alfred University in the C.D. Smith III Theatre, Wednesday through Saturday, April 16-19. Performances begin at 8 p.m.

In this ancient Greek comedy women take over the Parthenon and refuse to perform any of their traditional duties until the men of all the city-states end the war. Dr. Becky Prophet, professor of theater, directs the cast of 24 students.
