"Lysistrata," an ancient Greek comedy written by Aristophanes 2,400 years ago as an anti-war statement, is being revived for the same purpose on Monday.
As part of a worldwide event -- the "International Lysistrata Project" -- readings of Aristophanes' biting satire will be performed at two Utah universities and the new Salt Lake Library. All three readings are free and open to the general public.
The entire project is built around the theme, "Think globally, act locally."
