Theater artists are joining the anti-war movement.
Readings of "Lysistrata," Aristophanes' comic anti-war play, will be held Monday in 46 countries and in all 50 states. To date, 784 play readings have been scheduled, including 32 in Massachusetts.
Aristophanes' play has the women of the opposing sides of a war taking over the place where public money is kept and then withholding sex from their partners until the war is stopped. Organizers Kathryn Blume and Sharron Bower say the effort is part of a healthy human dialogue.
