Stanislaw
03-14-2006, 02:10 PM
er, hes a really boring chap, would bore ye to tear 'e would...best just not to go...did I mention he is guarded by tim the enchanter?

Jay
03-14-2006, 02:35 PM
I'm friends with Tim d'Great, maybe he got demoted?

Stanislaw
03-14-2006, 02:36 PM
demoted, I think it would be a fine promotion to be guardin the, er...musterd stain. :D

Jay
03-14-2006, 02:38 PM
Well, from Tim d'Great to Tim the enchanter... then there's this mustard stain thing of course :p

Stanislaw
03-14-2006, 02:52 PM
did I be mentioning that this musterd e a colonel?

Jay
03-14-2006, 02:58 PM
Ah, that colonel got recently promoted, he's a general now... unless you're thinking lieutenant colonel, but then we're not talking about a Tim :p

Stanislaw
03-14-2006, 03:03 PM
well, when he be a colonel, he was one dangerous chap, he murdered somesone in a billiards room with an candel stick! :D

Jay
03-14-2006, 03:17 PM
I think that was Daniel :p

Stanislaw
03-14-2006, 03:25 PM
or maybes even prof. plum!

Jay
03-17-2006, 08:36 AM
Reminds me I'm about half a season behind! :eek2:

Stanislaw
03-17-2006, 11:59 AM
ai, me too, I only wathed abouts the first 4 episodes er so this season, last one I saw is where Vala sacraficed 'erself to take out the auri super stargate.:(

Jay
03-17-2006, 12:05 PM
Last ep I seen was The Prototype I think... I think it's the one where we get to see Orlin again. The guy sure descends a lot :p

Stanislaw
03-17-2006, 12:06 PM
almost as much er daniel. :D

Jay
03-17-2006, 12:10 PM
lol, no one beats Daniel, the guy just doesn't know how to stay dead :p

Stanislaw
03-17-2006, 12:31 PM
 aint that the truth.

Have ye been watchin atlantis at all?

Jay
03-17-2006, 12:33 PM
Yeah, but got sidetracked the same time I did with SG-1, the last ep I saw was the one where Sheppard gets Wraithed. He looks cute with blue skin :p... or was it greenish? lol

Stanislaw
03-17-2006, 12:37 PM
ai, I haven't been able to follow it as much as I woud've liked...but they got chief obrien from star trek the next generation, and deap space nine to guest star as the leader of the militant group that tried an take over atlantis. :thumbs_up

I have to say though, I am a little dissapointed with SG1 though, I think the new guy is a poor jack clone eh?

Jay
03-17-2006, 12:48 PM
He is SO much like Jack. I mean, what's the chance you get two leaders of SG-1 who have problems with chain of command and all that? It's not the same without Jack and they should just accept that, not try to have an O'Neill character for the heck of it. The eps I saw were quite ok although I'm not too fond of Vala :p

Stanislaw
03-17-2006, 01:06 PM
I thought vala was kind of funny, good comic relief, and the new guy...he's okay, but just not in the same way that jack was.

Jay
03-17-2006, 01:08 PM
I'm not particularly against Vala but... just... hasn't grown on me yet I suppose :p. Cameron is ok but there's too much deja vu about him.

Stanislaw
03-17-2006, 01:26 PM
I'm not particularly against Vala but... just... hasn't grown on me yet I suppose :p. Cameron is ok but there's too much deja vu about him.

ai that is true...especially in the first two episodes...in some of the shots he almost looked like o'neil :D

but oneil was much more o a smart @ss :D

Jay
03-17-2006, 01:28 PM
And I 'like' the Ori, lol, they seem to be proving a nuissance for the galaxy to get rid of :p... what the SGC would do without villains :p... they'd be out of job! :D

Stanislaw
03-17-2006, 01:30 PM
And I 'like' the Ori, lol, they seem to be proving a nuissance for the galaxy to get rid of :p... what the SGC would do without villains :p... they'd be out of job! :D

well, they were almost shutdown, but then they proved the auri were a threat. :D

But...talk about god moding. :D the ori should read the rp for dummies book...

Jay
03-17-2006, 01:34 PM
LMAO!!! Though what Sam does is often very close to god modding too :p... not to mention the unkillable Daniel :p

Stanislaw
03-20-2006, 12:06 PM

It seems to me that daniel daniel just likes to descend as a nudist...I doubt apophis descended without close... :D

THE FLEA by John Donne

MARK but this flea, and mark in this,
How little that which thou deniest me is ;
It suck'd me first, and now sucks thee,
And in this flea our two bloods mingled be.
Thou know'st that this cannot be said
A sin, nor shame, nor loss of maidenhead ;
Yet this enjoys before it woo,
And pamper'd swells with one blood made of two ;
And this, alas ! is more than we would do.

O stay, three lives in one flea spare,
Where we almost, yea, more than married are.
This flea is you and I, and this
Our marriage bed, and marriage temple is.
Though parents grudge, and you, we're met,
And cloister'd in these living walls of jet.
Though use make you apt to kill me,
Let not to that self-murder added be,
And sacrilege, three sins in killing three.

Cruel and sudden, hast thou since
Purpled thy nail in blood of innocence?
Wherein could this flea guilty be,
Except in that drop which it suck'd from thee?
Yet thou triumph'st, and say'st that thou
Find'st not thyself nor me the weaker now.
'Tis true ; then learn how false fears be ;
Just so much honour, when thou yield'st to me,
Will waste, as this flea's death took life from thee.

Where did 'The Flea' come from - bit random wannnit?! Still, a reet risky poem in it's day - especially as the printed 'f' and 's' were pretty much the same back then! William Blake wrote 'The Fly', which is pretty much ripped off by The Small Faces on Ogden's Nut Gone Flake, (well I reckon so Romantic Poet/Psychedelic Album Trivia fans!) He also drew The Ghost of a Flea - which is well freaky.

If you approximate pi to the 39th digit, you can calculate the area of a circle the entire known universe with accuracy to the width of 1 hydrogen atom.

Hello. I'm Mr. Mark.
A mark is a mark that's dark, oh hark;
And no one can talk to a mark that's dark;
That is, oh hark, unless the mark is
The famous Mr. Mark!

Go right to the stark, and ask the mark,
He'll give you the answer to your remark.
He's always on a steady mark.
Talk to Mr. Mark!

People yakkity yak a streak and waste your time of day;
But Mister Mark will never speak unless he has something to say!
A mark is a mark that's dark, oh hark,
And this one will talk 'til his voice is stark!
You never heard of a talking mark?
Well listen to this:
"I am Mister Mark!"
Derived, of course, from the theme song from Mr. Ed. :D

They look very much like you.

CARTER
We know.

O'NEILL
Listen, for what it's worth, I'm sorry about what's happened here.

[Clone O'Neill steps out from the undergrowth.]

CLONE O'NEILL
Oh I'm sure that makes him feel better.

O'NEILL
Hey. What the hell do you think you're doing?

CLONE O'NEILL
Same thing you do. Only better.

O'NEILL
What does that mean?

CLONE O'NEILL
Better? It means bet-ter, stronger, faster.

O'NEILL
You're not me and you don't work for the Air Force.

CLONE O'NEILL
No. But that doesn't mean I can't do the job.

O'NEILL
What job?

CLONE O'NEILL
Explore the universe. Fight the Goa'uld.

O'NEILL
Oh what, like now?

CLONE O'NEILL
Hey! You made this mess.

O'NEILL
What we did was help these people.

CLONE O'NEILL
Oh come on, I know you better than that. You screwed up and now you're embarrassed.

O'NEILL
That's not the point.

CLONE O'NEILL
And like I'm going to spend my eternity on that lame *** planet? Sheesh.

O'NEILL
You gave me your word.

CLONE O'NEILL
Oh is this the first time you've lied to yourself? I told you what you wanted to hear. Besides, what were you going to do? Destroy me?

O'NEILL
I might have.

CLONE O'NEILL
All right come on, bring it on flyboy. Let's go. Come on.

O'NEILL
Oh, you little!

[O'Neill and Clone O'Neill start to fight.]

CARTER
Sirs. As much as I'd like to see how this plays out, don't we have something more important to do?

"Well, forget it", she thought to herself angrily, before kicking the filing cabinet in front of her and giving a small grunt while putting her hair into a pony tail. "If he's the kind of guy who won't even register on the LitNet for me, then I don't need him." The thought had never come into her mind before. "It's true!" she conceded to herself in a sort of frenzy, and quite wildly. "I don't need Mark!"

DemarKation is the act of creating a boundary around a place or thing.

Pendragon

A line of footprints in the dust across life's stage...
Scribbled notes upon a tiny slip of paper...
A few notes of melody as one passes the piano in the hall...
A poem written when emotion buys a moment of our time...
Forum posts that maybe someone will understand...
Dreams that manage to eclipse reality...
Do you ask me now what it means to leave my MARK?
Or have you heard nothing in the words...
Are they just echoes in the emptiness of the world...

Aye, I believe we all move through this ambiguous, transitory veil of uncertainty that is LitNet with markedly different reasoning.

"No man can know anothers mark . . . it is enough to see it done."

I liken logging onto these forums as a dog leaving its mark...we get on, leave our scent on the topics that interest us, and pretty soon the whole neighborhood is littered with our names under "last reply". Hehehe... :D that random thought made me laugh for a good long while!

suddenly I am struck with the fact that even though I have nothing to say in this post, I am clicking the submit button anyways... I wonder if I should call it a button.... because ya know, technically a button ... never mind... i am just being stupid again...

(her? are you a girl waxme? i thought you were male...not that it matters of course :))

Well, surely an imaginative thought... Not the sweetest of metaphors, but still an original thought :D

Hey, I also want my mark for some time! And Munro, you're not strange. People in my class, they were strange.
Funny how you find out that ones you believed males are actually females and vice versa. Also happened to me, quite often. But the gender's not that important on a forum as long as we're having fun, right? See you guys later.

Back to mark, by way of Donne, after a long time away from you:

"Thus vent thy thoughts ; abroad I'll study thee,
As he removes far off, that great heights takes ;
How great love is, presence best trial makes,
But absence tries how long this love will be ;
To take a latitude
Sun, or stars, are fitliest view'd
At their brightest, but to conclude
Of longitudes, what other way have we,
But to mark when and where the dark eclipses be?"

Glad to see you all again!
