Scarlette Trent is a hard and practical man yet he has dreams, dreams of wealth, riches and happiness. With their lives on the line, Trent and his old drunkard partner Monty dare to find their fortune in the gold mines of Africa. Trent leaves Africa a rich man. He has a new partner. Of his old partner Monty, a damning signature and a most precious picture, Trent takes away with him. An objectionable conduct, Monty’s past, a partner’s cunning, and a lady journalist bring new challenges and even newer feelings into this millionaire’s life.
