X. To my quick ear the leaves conferred

TO my quick ear the leaves conferred;
        The bushes they were bells;

        From Nature's sentinels.

In cave if I presumed to hide,
        The walls began to tell;.
Creation seemed a mighty crack
        To make me visible.
