Coleridge Meets William Wordsworth:

Among the waves that gathered forcefully, broke loudly and retreated
quietly through Coleridge's correspondence of May, 1796, there is the tumult
of uncertain vocational directions: translating Schiller, tutoring, preaching.
But there is the high-water mark of enthusiasm during the year of meeting a
