Words·worth ¹ / ˈwərdzˌwər[unvoicedth] / , Dorothy (1771–1855) , English diarist, sister of William Wordsworth. Her Grasmere Journal (1800–03) documents her intense response to nature. Words·worth ² , William (1770–1850) , English poet. Much of his work was inspired by the Lake District.
