QUESTION What became of Mexican comedian Cantinflas, who starredalongside David Niven in Around The World In 80 Days?

'CANTINFLAS' was born Fortino Mario Alfonso Mareno Reyes on August 12, 1911, inMexico City. He was the sixth of 12 children brought up in the poor TerpinoBarrio district.

After an unsuccessful attempt to enter the U.S. illegally, he joined atravelling show where he became a performer of comic acrobatic dances, as wellas doing imitations.

Billed as 'Mario Moreno', he began to develop a special character for himself,which became Cantinflas.
