Tracey Edwards' first attempt to win the round-the-world Jules Verne
yacht race ended in rough seas off the coast of South America four
years ago.
But the yachtswoman is so confident that she and her crew can take the title in 2003, she has remortgaged her house to pay for a new boat and on Monday launched a campaign to find sponsors.
Edwards, 39, needs some 5 million pounds (dlrs 7 million) to finance the attempt with an all-female crew on the 110 foot (33 meter) maxi- catamaran Maiden II.
