"Magnolia" (1999) -- Paul Thomas Anderson recently premiered his new adaptation of Upton Sinclair's "There Will Be Blood" at the Telluride Film Festival.
It'll probably come to local theaters by the end of 2007 or early '08.
But before you see his new one, you have to check out "Magnolia," Anderson's best film to date.
Built as a loose collection of vignettes reminiscent of Robert Altman's "Short Cuts," "Magnolia" moves in so many different directions that by all rights it shouldn't hold together as a coherent film.
