Adapted from Upton Sinclair's 1927 novel, Oil!, There Will Be Blood is one of this year's Oscar front-runners, nominated for eight statuettes including Best Picture, Best Director (Paul Thomas Anderson) and Best Actor In A Leading Role (Daniel Day-Lewis).
Day-Lewis, a Bristol Old Vic Theatre School old boy, won a Best Actor Bafta for his role this week.
