THE British may have triumphed at the Golden Globes, but the real winner is the publishing industry.
Most of this year's awards went to film adaptations of books: No Country for Old Men (Cormac McCarthy), Atonement (Ian McEwan), The Diving Bell and the Butterfly (Jean-Dominique Bauby) and There Will be Blood (inspired by Upton Sinclair's 1927 novel, Oil!).
