Donald Ross of Scotland is one of the greatest golf architects ever. He had a very prolific career, beginning in 1912 and continuing until his death in 1948. The Mark Twain Golf Course in Elmira, NY, is one of his best designs and one of the few that is mostly unchanged from its original construction.
