MARK TWAIN ANNOUNCES 12.5% INCREASE IN QUARTERLY DIVIDEND

ST. LOUIS, Jan. 4 /PRNewswire/ -- The Board of Directors of Mark Twain Bancshares, Inc. (Nasdaq-NNM: MTWN) today announced a first- quarter dividend of $0.27 ($1.08 annualized rate) to be paid on February 10, 1995 to shareholders of record of its common stock (par value $1.25) on January 27, 1995. This is the fourth increase in the common stock quarterly cash dividend in the last nine quarters.

This new quarterly rate of $.27 per share is a 12.5 percent increase over the previous quarterly dividend rate, and follows increases of 14.3 percent in the first quarter of 1994, ...
