Folk singer Jim Post has come a long way since he wrote and performed the 1960s hit, "Reach Out in the Darkness." The song landed him in the Rock 'n' Roll Hall of Fame, but he's finding there's life after the darkness, in performing children's music and portraying Mark Twain.
Post brings both acts to the Metropolis Performing Arts Centre in Arlington Heights, where he opens the first of his two performances tonight with his award-winning, one-man musical, "Mark Twain and the Laughing River."
