The Missouri Department of Natural Resources issued the following news release:

Experience the crafts and skills of the early 19th century at the 27th annual Salt River Folk Life Festival, Aug. 12-13, at Mark Twain Birthplace State Historic Site in Florida. Sponsored by the Missouri Department of Natural Resources and Friends of Florida, the event will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days.

Entertainers and craft exhibitors dressed in historic attire will present music, crafts, games and storytelling throughout the day. Pat Walker will entertain the crowd with her storytelling and the Dirt ...
