Mark Twain, meet William Shakespeare and Leo Tolstoy. These and some 750 other renowned authors soon will appear together under a single imprint, Penguin Classics.

Penguin of Britain, the largest reprinter of the classics since 1946, had separated its titles into Penguin English Library, Penguin Classics and Penguin American Library. The London-based company, with its American, Canadian, New Zealand and Australian affiliates, will now start selling the classics in new packaging, some at new, lower prices.
